Karen Boyer
Hi! I want to introduce myself and give you a brief bio. I started training Tai Chi in the summer of 1998, a couple of years before I received my BS in Health Education from the University of Akron. After an urging from Adam, I started taking Kung Fu, specifically Wing Chun, in 1999. In 2003, I received my personal trainer certification from AFAA. Pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams, Adam and I founded Victory Defense Systems in 2007 to pass on the Kung Fu we learned to students of all ages.
Adam Boyer
Hello, my Kung Fu journey started after taking a job as a grounds crew member at the JCC with Karen’s Brother, Kevin. I started training Kung Fu in 1998, and concentrated my Kung Fu training in Wing Chun. After receiving my Bachelor’s in Microbiology, Karen and I both began teaching classes to children and adults, forming the dream of owning and teaching at our own school. Since 2007, we have been pursuing that dream with Victory Defense Systems.
