Tuition Policies
- There are 2 Seasons that the monthly tuition amount is based upon. This is done so each month is the same amount because tuition and belt testing costs are averaged over the specified time period. The Seasons are:
- The School Year Season is based on the nine month school calendar going from September to May.
- Summer Season is based on a 7 week season going from June to July.
- Please note that a student can enroll at any time during one of these periods - if the student can not finish the season please see next section for cancellation procedure.
- Tuition is paid in nine or two equal monthly installments due by the 10th of each month.
- All classes are to be paid for whether attended or not, however, students are entitled to take a make-up class at one of our other locations or participate in one of our online classes.
- We do not have a "pay per class" option.
- There are no refunds on tuition payments.
- Monthly tuition is to be paid by the following means: PayPal Subscription.
- If tuition and late fee are not paid by the end of the month, Victory Defense Systems will interrupt the student ability to continue with classes until the account is paid in full.
- A break in classes, like we have experienced with the COVID-19 Pandemic, will not constitute a refund or a break in training. If that were to happen, all classes would resume online via Zoom.
Cancellation of Enrollment
- It will be assumed that you will continue with your/your child's Martial Arts education, consecutively, each month upon registering in the fall for the season.
- Should you wish to discontinue enrollment/class participation, we ask that you submit an email notification PRIOR to the new month of classes.
- If we do not receive such notification, it will be expected that the monthly tuition will be due in full on the 10th of the new month.
- If cancellation of classes is related to injury or other extenuating circumstances, please communicate directly with Adam Boyer.
Tuition Cycles & Holidays
- Tuition is calculated on a monthly basis.
- Within the Martial Arts Year, like in academic seasons, there are designated holidays that Victory Defense Systems honors.
- We are in session for minor holidays such as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Columbus Day, Presidents Day, etc. - If your regularly scheduled class is affected by a minor holiday due to the location being closed, please seek another of our class/locations to make up the class. Class/locations can be found on our website under "locations."
- We follow the the local Public Schools Yearly Calendar when observing holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas / Winter Break, and Easter/Spring Break.
Tuition Discounts
- The second family member will receive a 10% discount. The discount will be applied to the lesser of the two tuition.
- The third family member will receive a 20% discount. The discount will be applied to the lesser of the three tuition.
- The fourth family member will receive a 30% discount. The discount will be applied to the lesser of the four tuition.
- The fifth and any remaining family members will receive a 40% discount. The discount will be applied to the lesser of the fifth and remaining tuition.
Observing Lessons
We understand how excited parents are to see the progress of their children. Belt/Sash Testing sessions during the year are designed for parents to observe the progress of their students. These are the ONLY times we will permit anyone to observe a class unless your child’s instructor invites you in to watch a certain portion of a regular class. Please do not ask for special privileges. If we make an exception for one person, we have to make an exception for everyone. We ask that you respect this policy, as we truly feel it will be the best way for your student to get the most out of his/her Kung Fu education.

School Closings due to In-climate Weather or during the School Year Holidays
1. Victory Defense Systems typically follows the Local Public School System for all school closings EXCEPT for minor holidays.
2. If the weather is questionable, please check your text messages, email or our social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) prior to class. We may continue with class in the event that the weather improves on a day when the local public school has opted to close.
3. If class is cancelled, please seek another of our class/locations to make up the class or simply participate in the live or prerecorded class for that week.
4. You will be notified via text or email regarding a school closing.
